- Is my money safe?
- Kairos never holds or custodies your funds. It connects to your Alpaca account by API for trade execution only — no withdrawal or transfer access. You retain full control and can revoke access instantly.
- Which LLM providers are supported?
- OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini) and xAI (Grok). You bring your own API key; the cost goes directly to your provider account with no markup from Kairos.
- Is live trading available?
- Not yet. Kairos runs on Alpaca's paper-trading environment for now — real market data, simulated execution, zero capital at risk. Live trading is on the roadmap and will be enabled once it's fully validated.
- Can I lose money?
- Not while in paper trading — no real capital is at stake. That said, algorithmic trading carries real financial risk, and once live trading is available you should treat it accordingly. Kairos is a tool, not a guarantee.
- How are my API keys stored?
- Encrypted with AWS KMS and stored as Secrets Manager references — never in plaintext, never logged. Only your agent process can decrypt them, at startup.
- Is Kairos free?
- Yes — all features are available at no cost during the early-access period. Pricing will be introduced when the platform reaches general availability, and you'll be notified well in advance.
- What brokers are supported?
- Currently Alpaca only, for US equities. Additional broker integrations are on the roadmap.
- How much does each LLM call cost?
- It depends on your provider and model. Kairos shows the exact USD cost of every call in the cost-attribution panel — typically $0.001–$0.01 per research cycle.
